The Affiliate meets 6-8 times per year. The meetings are in the evening with dinner, usually educational sponsored by a vendor. This year, we sponsored a young woman to go as a counselor to the youth rally. Attendance is usually 12 out of a possible 25. Our big success was an educational day with 100 attendees which covered many topics. We have four members on the board of the NER.

Cathy Tenore was recognized at the national membership meeting. She was featured by name and photograph in the Advances for Nurse Magazine as a key member of the New Jersey Hospital Association Pressure Ulcer Reduction Learning Collaborative.

Capitol Region Affiliate Report:
Currently we have 25 members. We have grown this year with several new WOCN members and new students attending as well. We are meeting monthly from March until September at St. Peters Hospital. We have a competency day planned for our group on May 21st our topics will be stoma marking, devices for continence and digital photos. Our yearly conference for the community is planned for September the 24th. Madeline Caffiero has developed a poster with the group which has been accepted at the National conference this year. We will be using these monies to sponsor scholarships to our members to enable them to attend conference. We will also be sponsoring someone to attend the Youth Rally.
